Hunter Planet
The All Australian Role Playing Game

Hunter Planet (HP), as the title may suggest, is a somewhat humorous Australian RPG wholly created and produced in Australia. It was written by David Bruggman and first released in December 1985, with a second edition being released in 1986 and 1987 (I think). The Players take on the role of alien hunters, enjoying the dangers and delights encountered hunting on a newly discovered hunter planet, called Dirt by its local semi-intelligent inhabitants. The Second Edition was distributed worldwide by TAGG (The Australian Games Group) and mentions that it was played in England, Norway, America, Belgium, New Zealand and sometimes even Australia.

Hunter Planet 1st ed

Had a print run of over a thousand and consisted of, in the words of the author, one cheap booklet, but since I don't have one I can't tell you much more than that....

Hunter Planet 2nd ed

Unknown print run, but now expanded to a cheap, professionally produced booklet, game supplements, Character record sheets, Adventures, poster and lots of other accessories. Well I don't know about the posters and other accessories (although I do remember seeing a module for HP in a Sci-Fi Magazine somewhere), but I can tell you the Second Edition is quite professionally made. This edition of HP come mostly in what was called "The Hunter Planet Executive Pack", which consisted of all the below:
Cover of Hunter Planet 2nd edHunter Planet (Second Edition) describes the basic rules of HP for both the player and the CM -DM to everyone else;) The book is 36 Pages long, counting the front as Page 1, inside cover as page 2 etc, so were normally you would expect Page 1 to be is actually labeled Page 3, and the back Page is 36. Page 37 is also mentioned in the book and consists of the country of Belgium the entire U.S.A. and Russian Defence Forces, a Jabberwock in 3D, a cinema, the Americas Cup, Greenpeace, and a Hoechst(?), unfortunately it looks as if this page had to be edited out due to either (1) lack of space, or (2) not being ably to find anything to put on Page 38;)
Cover of SindeeSindee - The Adventure provides ideas for different adventures for HP. This book is also 36 Pages long with the same numbering system as above. Page 37 also contained sever items including a Porsche, I thought someone had stolen this page as it didn't come with this book, but then I saw that it had also been edited out...alas...
Cover of Exile & ArenaExile & Arena -Hunter Plant Possibilities are bascially modifications and ideas for Hunter Planet and can add to or expand on your normal Hunter Planet games. This book consists of 16 pages and is broken up into two parts. The first part is Exile, Page 1 to half of Page 9, deals with exiling hunters to a atrernate fantasy based planet called Trid after they have committed crimes like firing on each other -if this was the case then this must have been how most of the characters my friends play in our AD&D party ended up on the same world;) The second part of the book is called Arena and consist of Pages 16 to half of Page 9, it starts at Page 16 so you must turn the book around and upside down to read it, basically hunters get to fight in arenas for there crimes.
Recort Sheets type 1 frontRecort Sheets type 1 backCharacter Record Sheets -A pad of 25 player character record sheets, Type 1, joined in pad format from the top.
Recort Sheets type 2 frontRecort Sheets type 2 backCharacter Record Sheets -A pad of 25 player character record sheets, Type 2, joined in pad format on the left side.
Cover of CMs ScreenCMs Screen- Described as a really good cover that can also be used as a CMs Screen. The cover looks like a big cover you get on large hardbound books. On the insides of the cover has an index to HP and Sindee as well as useful descriptive terms as General Descriptions such as Might be and It looks as though it might be dead, General guidance to players such as Go on. Try it. and Why not? What can go wrong?, and the ever popular General CMing actions like (No words. Just a mean smile).
Piece of PaperPiece of Paper- basically tells what's in the Hunter Planet Executive Pack.

AND...

Some shrinkwrapping, which as is explained in Footnote 24 as may not being too much benefit to most roleplayers;)

Note: You could also buy all the of the above (except probably the shrinkwrapping and the piece of paper) separately at one stage as well.
